USD/CAD: Loonie trading lower, ahead of Canada’s CPI data

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the USD declined 0.70% against the CAD to close at 1.0944.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 1.0957, with the USD trading 0.12% higher from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 1.0917, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 1.0877. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 1.1007, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 1.1057.

Going forward, investors await the release of Canada’s crucial Consumer Price Index (CPI), scheduled later today.

The currency pair is showing convergence with its 20 Hr moving average and trading below its 50 Hr moving average.
