USD/CHF: Cap on the Swiss Franc would continue for some more time, SNB’s Jordan

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the USD traded flat against the CHF and closed at 0.9025.

Yesterday, in an interview, the SNB Chairman Thomas Jordan echoed his earlier comments that the central bank would maintain a cap on the Swiss franc of 1.20 per euro to ensure price stability for the foreseeable future.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 0.9025, with the USD trading flat from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9009, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.8992. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9040, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9054.

The currency pair is showing convergence with its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
