USD/CHF: Swiss Franc extends its losses, ahead of Swiss PMI data

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the USD rose 0.40% against the CHF and closed at 0.9549. The Swiss Franc came under pressure after the KOF economic barometer in Switzerland fell to a level of 99.1 in September, compared to market expectations of a fall to 99.0. The barometer had registered a revised reading of 99.6 in the past month.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 0.9564, with the USD trading 0.16% higher from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9509, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9453. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9609, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9653.

Looking ahead, investor sentiments would be determined by Swiss SVME PMI, set for release in a few hours from now.

The currency pair is trading above its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
