USD/CHF: Switzerland’s producer and import prices unexpectedly rose in June

On the data front, Switzerland’s producer and import prices unexpectedly rose 0.5% on a monthly basis in June, defying market expectations for a drop of 0.9% and compared to a drop of 0.5% in the earlier month.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 0.9404, with the USD trading 0.09% higher against the CHF from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9382, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9359. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9425, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9445.

Amid no macroeconomic releases in Switzerland today, investor sentiment would be governed by global macroeconomic factors.

The currency pair is trading above its 20 Hr moving average and showing convergence with its 50 Hr moving average.
