USD/CHF: Switzerland’s consumer price index dropped in March

In Switzerland, the consumer price index dropped 0.5% on an annual basis in March, for the second consecutive month and in line with market forecast. In the previous month, the index had recorded a decline of 0.1%.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 0.9735, with the USD trading 0.11% lower against the CHF from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9678, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9622. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9771, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9808.

Amid no macroeconomic releases in Switzerland today, investor sentiment would be governed by global macroeconomic factors.

The currency pair is trading above its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
