USD/CHF: Swissy loses steam in the Asian session

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, USD declined 0.88% against the CHF and closed at 0.9083, after the US Department of Labor reported that the number of people who filed for unemployment assistance in the US climbed to a seasonally adjusted 362,000 in the week ended 3 March 2012.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Consumer Price Index fell 0.9% (YoY) in February, compared to a fall of 0.8% in January.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 0.9087, with the USD trading 0.05% higher from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9052, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9017. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9142, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9198.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
