USD/CHF: Swiss industrial output growth slows in Q3

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the USD rose 0.14% against the CHF and closed at 0.9347.

Switzerland’s industrial production increased 2.2% annually in Q3 FY2012, lower than the revised 4.7% rise registered in the Q2 FY2012.

Separately, the Swiss National Bank (SNB) reported that the M3 money supply growth in Switzerland climbed at a pace of 9.8% (YoY) in December, faster than the 9.4% increase recorded in the prior month. Similarly, M2 growth rose to 10.6% in December, from 10.1% recorded in November.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 0.9305, with the USD trading 0.45% lower from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9282, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9260. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9339, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9374.

The currency pair is trading just below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
