Silver: Silver tumbles in Asian trading after six-week surge

Silver prices declined 1.14% to USD47.84 per ounce during the 24 hours ending 23:00GMT, amid profit taking after the white metal prices recorded the highest in 28 years.

In the Asian session at 3:00GMT, silver is trading at USD43.37 per ounce, 9.34% lower, from 23:00GMT.

The first level of short term resistance on the upside is at 47.56, followed by 51.75. The pair is expected to find support at 40.82, with the subsequent support level at 38.27.

Silver is trading far below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
