USD/CHF: Swiss Franc trading lower this morning

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, USD declined 0.18% against the CHF and closed at 0.8844.

In the US, the producer price index, on a monthly basis, increased by 0.8% in April, following a 0.7% gain recorded in March. The business inventories, on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, increased by 1.0% in March, compared to an upwardly revised 0.7% rise recorded in February.

In the Asian session, at 3:00GMT, the pair is trading at 0.8862, 0.20% higher from the New York session close.

The pair has its first short term resistance at 0.8904, followed by the next resistance at 0.8946. The first area of support is at 0.8821 levels, with the subsequent support at 0.8780.

Trading trends in the pair today are expected to be determined by data release on producer and import prices in Switzerland.

The currency pair is showing convergence with its 20 Hr moving average and is trading just above its 50 Hr moving average.
