For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, Crude Oil rose 0.09% against the USD and closed at USD53.01 per barrel. However, gains in crude prices were kept in check, after data showed a build in US crude oil inventories.
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a build of 2.8 million barrels in the US crude stockpiles to 488.3 million barrels during the week ended 20 January 2017.
In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 53.15, with the oil trading 0.26% higher from yesterday’s close.
The pair is expected to find support at 52.65, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 52.15. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 53.56, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 53.97.
Crude oil is trading above its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
