Silver: White metal continues to trades higher, as slowdown concerns grip global markets

Silver prices rose 0.92% to USD 40.61 per ounce during the 24 hours ending 23:00GMT, as concerns of a global economic slowdown gripped markets and the US macroeconomic reports gave such worries even more weight.

In the Asian session at 3:00GMT, silver is trading at USD 40.72 per ounce, 0.27% higher, from 23:00GMT.

The first level of short term resistance on the upside is at 41.09, followed by 41.45. The pair is expected to find support at 40.19, with the subsequent support level at 39.65.

The pair is trading just above its 20 Hr and its 50 Hr moving averages.
