AUD/USD: Aussie backpedals this morning after Friday’s surge

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, AUD strengthened 1.30% against the USD, on Friday, to close at 1.0340.

In the Asian session at 3:00GMT, the Australian Dollar is trading at 1.0254, 0.83% lower from Friday’s close.

LME Copper prices rose 0.8% or $72.0/MT to $8,781.3/ MT. Aluminium prices rose 0.3% or $7.0/MT to $2,345.5/ MT.

The pair is expected to find first short term resistance at 1.0332, with the next resistance levels at 1.0410 and 1.0537, subsequently. The first support for the pair is seen at 1.0205, followed by next supports at 1.0156 and 1.0029 respectively.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
