AUD/USD: Aussie trading higher in the Asian session, following yesterday’s slump

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, AUD weakened 1.36% against the USD to close at 0.8924.

LME Copper prices rose 0.8% or $60.5/MT to $7230.0/MT. Aluminium prices declined 0.5% or $9.5/MT to $1759.5/MT.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 0.8933, with the AUD trading 0.10% higher from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.8874, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.8814. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9032, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.9130.

With no economic releases later today, the investors in the Aussie Dollar would closely follow the minutes of the latest Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) policy meeting to be released next week.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
