AUD/USD: Aussie trading lower in the Asian session

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, AUD strengthened 0.18% against the USD to close at 1.0331.

This morning, the consumer sentiment index in Australia rose 8.1% in September to 96.9.

In the Asian session at 3:00GMT, the Australian Dollar is trading at 1.0256, 0.73% lower from yesterday’s close at 23:00 GMT.

LME Copper prices rose 1.3% or $112.0/MT to $8,757.3/ MT. Aluminium prices rose 1.5% or $35.5/MT to $2,354.3/ MT.

The pair is expected to find first short term resistance at 1.0339, with the next resistance levels at 1.0422 and 1.0551, subsequently. The first support for the pair is seen at 1.0210, followed by next supports at 1.0164 and 1.0035 respectively.

The currency pair is trading well below its 20 Hr and its 50 Hr moving averages.
