AUD/USD: Aussie trading marginally lower, ahead of RBA Governor Lowe’s speech

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the AUD slightly rose against the USD and closed at 0.6775.

LME Copper prices declined 1.4% or $82.5/MT to $5695.0/MT. Aluminium prices declined 0.6% or $10.0/MT to $1756.0/MT.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 0.6773, with the AUD trading a tad lower against the USD from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.6765, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.6757. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.6781, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.6789.

Trading trend in the Aussie today is expected to be determined by Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) Governor Philip Lowe’s speech, due in a few hours.

The currency pair is showing convergence with its 20 Hr moving average and trading below its 50 Hr moving average.
