AUD/USD: Aussie trading on a weaker footing this morning

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the AUD declined 0.47% against the USD and closed at 0.7608.

LME Copper prices rose 5.3% or $284.0/MT to $5619.0/MT. Aluminium prices rose 2.0% or $35.0/MT to $1772.5/MT.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 0.7597, with the AUD trading 0.14% lower against the USD from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.7521, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.7444. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.7708, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 0.7818.

Looking ahead, Reserve Bank of Australia’s latest meeting minutes accompanied with Australia’s unemployment rate and Westpac leading index, both for October, all scheduled to release next week, would generate a lot of market attention.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
