USD/CAD: Canada added fewer jobs in October

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT on Friday, the USD declined marginally against the CAD to close at 0.9958.

On the economic front, Canada added 1,800 jobs in October, lower than the expectation for an increase of 5,000 jobs, whereas the unemployment rate held steady at 7.4%.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 0.9947, with the USD trading 0.12% lower from Friday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 0.9917, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 0.9888. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 0.9980, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 1.0014.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
