USD/JPY: Greenback trading lower against the Yen in the Asian session

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, USD strengthened 0.13% against the JPY and closed at 77.87.

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA), mortgage applications in the US rose 11.1% for the week ended September 7, compared to revised 2.4% drop in the previous week.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 77.76, with the USD trading 0.14% lower from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 77.66, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 77.55. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 77.92, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 78.07.

The currency pair is trading below its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
