USD/JPY: Yen declined on monetary easing hopes

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, USD strengthened 0.22% against the JPY and closed at 81.34. Yen traded lower against greenback, on speculation that Bank of Japan would resume monetary easing to weaken the currency.

In the Asian session, at GMT0300, the pair is trading at 81.54, with the USD trading 0.24% higher from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 81.07, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 80.61. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 81.78, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 82.02.

The currency pair is trading above its 20 Hr and 50 Hr moving averages.
